Der Rhonensee

In 2007 the tongue of the Rhône Glacier still reached down to the edge of the rock step. Standing in front of it, I imagined that a lake might one day form in the hollow the ice would leave behind. I gave it a name, Der Rhonensee, and made it into an image: a duratrans print in a lightbox, with a small water mechanism that sets the surface of the lake in motion.
